The Golden Jubilee of Central School for Tibetans, Dalhousie was organised on Sunday, April 29, 2013 in school premises with full fan are to mark 50 years of its existence. H.H. The Dalai Lama was the Chief Guest during its opening ceremony. Almost 700 ex-students, who had been the students of school from 1963 to 2010, attended the golden jubilee celebration.

The function also saw presentations of mementoes to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kalon Trisur Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche and to the government and people of India as a mark of deep gratitude by the former students.

The function concluded with song and dance performances by the school students, local Tibetan community and by the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. It was followed by a brief session between His Holiness and former students at the school building.

On this auspicious occasion, a golden jubilee magazine entitled SOUVENIR was unveiled at the function by His Holiness. Simultaneously, he also released a new work entitled Wildlife of Himachal-II authored by Sanjay Kumar Dhiman, SDM Dalhousie.

The function also saw presentations of mementoes to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay and Kalon Trisur Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche and to the government and people of India as a mark of deep gratitude by the former students.

A large number of local people attended the function.
